Snuffy Jack's Ale House Now Open

A new micro pub has just opened at 800 Fishponds Road, Fishponds, Bristol, BS16 3TE. You can find more information on their Facebook page.

The opening hours are believed to be:

Tuesday-Friday 12-2 and 5-10
Saturday 12-10.30
Sunday 12-4.30

The owners previously explained their plan that:

"The micro-pub would be a low-key small pub selling Cask Ale (Real Ale) as the main product along with handmade Ciders, Wines, and soft drinks. There are no plans for the sale of spirits, or alcopops.

The micro-pub focuses on the diversity and quality of locally sourced beers which appeal to real ale enthusiasts and would not compete with the larger public houses. It is considered that the Micropub will maintain the commercial diversity of the area, attracting footfall beneficial to other businesses. In addition to the restricted alcoholic drinks available there would be no electronic machines (fruit machines, gaming machines, juke boxes). There will also be no live music"

Bristol & District CAMRA branch members supported the planning application for this new pub and doubtless many of us will be checking it out very soon.
