Community
pubs across the
Bristol
area are arranging a range of events to promote themselves to support the
Campaign for Real Ale’s “Community Pubs Month” initiative which runs
throughout the whole of April.
These
events will include a meet the brewer evening, St Georges day
celebrations, charity fund raising events, mini beer festivals and even
one pub that will offer its real ales at a “tax free” price to
celebrate Easter!
Pubs
really are the best social networking sites. Nothing beats having a
relaxed and informal chat with friends and family down the local. We are
only too aware of the loss of so many community pubs and the difficulties
so many of them face for various reasons. Nonetheless, there are still
some great pubs in the
Bristol
area and it is great that many are getting behind the Community Pubs Month
initiative.
We
hope that many people across
Bristol
will seek out some of these pubs and enjoy the ambiance of the local. If
people value community pubs it is important that they show that support by
visiting them from time to time if they can. Why not check out some of the
events on the Bristol CAMRA website and also see if one of your locals is
arranging something for the Month?
